Meet The 2020 Ford Everest Sport

Just when we thought Ford’s enviable SUV line-up couldn’t get any better Ford Australia announced the new upgraded 2020 Ford Everest Sport Edition. With its Black Body Styling Kit, unique 20-inch painted black alloy wheels and unique grille & more, you’ll be able to handle anything in a Ford Everest Sport.

According to Ford Australia’s CEO, Kay Hart the “Everest Sport is a new kind of Everest, bringing a unique style inside and out. Everest Sport builds on the increased choice of the line-up, and combines a premium, sporty package with renowned off-road capability.” This SUV has serious attitude and is sure to turn heads wherever you drive. It features a new aggressive silhouette and eye-catching cosmetic accents. Features include a blacked-out mesh front grilled with “Everest” lettering, “Sport” embossed logos, Capital Blue stitching and a soft-touch dash pad with Capital Blue stitching.

Shadow Black Paint

The black treatment is taken further with ebony roof tails, black side mirrors, lower front and back bumpers and unique body accents. The Sport variant naturally comes in Shadow Black Paint which creates a striking new silhouette. You’ll simply be able to tell the Ford Everest Sport apart from its siblings the Ford Everest Trend and Titanium. Drivers who prefer a bit of contrast may also pick from Ford’s Prestige paints including: Aluminium, Deep Crystal Blue, Meteor Grey and Arctic White. On the inside, the new Sport variant also gains ‘‘Raceway Blue’ door pulls.

Ford’s most handsome SUV is also paired with a choice of two (2) drive-trains. Drivers can choose from the new rev-happy high-tech 157kW/500Nm 2.0 litre twin-turbo diesel engine with a ten speed automatic transmission or a robust 143kW/470Nm 3.2 litre five-cylinder turbo diesel engine and six-speed automatic transmission. The Everest Sport is also equipped with SYNC3 with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and the built-in satellite navigation system comes with complimentary map updates and a ‘breadcrumbs’ feature to map off-road routes as they happen for safe return and mapping record

The Everest sport includes other MY2020 upgrade including a USB charge port to power up devices including tablets, dash cams and mobile phones. In continuation of Ford’s dedication to safety and comfort, the new Sport model includes high-performance lighting with bi-Led headlights that provide 17% greater low-beam penetration and 20% greater high-beam penetration.

Other safety features and driver aids include an E-locking rear differential, automatic high-beams, rear-view cameras with parking sensors, cruise control with speed limiters, hill launch assist, hill descent control, seven (7) airbags, curtain airbags for the third row, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, traffic sign recognition and lane-keeping sensors. With the addition of Sport, there are now eight models in the Everest range, starting with the $49,990 Ambiente RWD 3.2L model and topping out with the $72,590 Titanium 4WD 2.0L Bi-Turbo. The new Everest Sport 4WD 3.2L costs $62,990 while the Sport 4WD 2.0L is listed at $63,790. Options on Everest Sport are limited to a tow bar ($1000) and prestige paint ($650)
